Alright, Book Queens, if you’ve somehow avoided Sarah J Mass A Court of Thorns and Roses series up until now, consider this your warning: once you start, you won’t be able to stop. Like, seriously, cancel your plans and get ready for a feels marathon that’ll make you laugh, cry, and scream into the void. Let’s dive into the chaos and romance, shall we?
Book One: A Court of Thorns and Roses
Imagine you’re chilling in the woods, hunting for food, and then BAM—you accidentally shoot a wolf that turns out to be a fae (oops). Enter Feyre Archeron, our girl who can’t catch a break. She’s dragged into the fae world to live with Tamlin (cue dramatic music), and what starts as a kinda “Beauty and the Beast” vibe quickly turns into “What on earth did I just get myself into?”
The slow burn romance is so slow, I felt like I was aging faster than it was developing. But don’t worry—when the spice comes, it comes. 🥵 Also, the fae world is gorgeous, and you’ll probably want to live there, so maybe grab some fae-inspired bookmarks and stickers from the shop to decorate your life like you're chilling in Prythian!
Book Two: A Court of Mist and Fury AKA The Reason I No Longer Function as a Human Being
Y’all… this book is an emotional sucker punch. Feyre’s dealing with serious PTSD, and Tamlin is showing some real red flags (looking at you, toxic relationships 👀). But wait—here comes Rhysand, aka the High Lord of Hotness, who swoops in with his dark, brooding self and says, “How about we change your life real quick?”
Let me tell you: the character development? CHEF’S KISS. The romance? 🌶️🌶️🌶️ You’ll be fanning yourself while buying ACOTAR merch because once you’re in, you’re in. Trust me, you’re gonna want to wrap yourself in a cozy bookish hoodie while rereading all the Rhysand chapters. (And yes, we have the perfect ones in the shop—because let’s be real, every ACOTAR fan needs Rhysand-approved merch.)
Book Three: A Court of Wings and Ruin AKA "I Need Therapy Now"
War. Betrayal. Fae drama. This book was like watching an episode of Game of Thrones, but with more wingspans and hotter fae warriors. Feyre is a badass, Rhys is an emotional support boyfriend, and the stakes are higher than Rhysand’s… er, wingspan.
But real talk: this book had me biting my nails, shouting at the pages, and possibly crying in public. Stock up on cute bookmarks so you can revisit the best moments because you're gonna be flipping through this one FAST, trying to see who makes it out alive.
Books Four: A Court of Frost and Starlight
Frost and Starlight is the perfect little palette cleanser after the insanity of book three—a cozy, snowy holiday vibe where everyone’s just chilling (finally). But if you’re here for the Nesta and Cassian content, this is a great start!
Books Five: A Court of Silver Flames Or: "How Sarah J. Maas Found New Ways to Emotionally Wreck Us"
A Court of Silver Flames will blow your mind. Nesta goes through some heavy stuff, and Cassian? Well, let’s just say he’s the new definition of book boyfriend goals. Honestly, I felt like I needed a support group after finishing this one. 😭
The romance? 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️, so brace yourself and "hold on to the heardboad".
Also, I should mention, our shop’s ACOTAR stickers are the perfect way to cope with the emotional turmoil these books will put you through. Stick 'em everywhere as a reminder of the pain and beauty of this universe.
Final Veredict
Look, if you haven't already fallen headfirst into the ACOTAR fandom, this series will push you in. Hard. You’ll laugh, cry, fall in love with fictional characters (again), and probably lose sleep because, trust me, you won’t be able to put it down. Be ready to also join a cult where romanasy girlies get together and talk about their new book boyfriends. Cheers to the love of reading again! <3
And hey, while you're waiting for book 6 and Azeriel story to come out, check out our bookish merch to really immerse yourself in the fae world. Whether it's cute stickers for your laptop, bookmarks to hold your place while you scream, or cozy sweaters to snuggle into while you sob over Chapter 55 (you know the one), we’ve got you covered. Happy reading, book Queens! 💕
